About "Amazing" Poodles
Who We Are
"Amazing Standard Poodles" is located 15 kilometers South East of Merritt, B.C. Canada, high on the side of Iron Mountain with sweeping views of the grasslands of historic Douglas Lake Cattle Ranch, and the far hills surrounding the city of Kelowna. Here on 10 pastoral acres Maureen and Rob Sanderson raise "AMAZING" Poodles...show dogs that specialize in the sport of Agility.
Maureen and Rob have owned, raised, and bred Standard Poodles for over 30 years. Their beginnings were in the Lower Mainland area of British Columbia, where they raised their three daughters always with at least two Standard Poodles as an integral part of the family. In the early 80's, they did a small amount of breeding and produced some beautiful show dogs, under their "old" kennel name "MARSAN". Among them was Best Puppy in Show winner "CH. Marsan Tzar Nicholas" owned by Marcia Ratsoy and shown by Susan Hillman, "CH. Marsan Cacharal" owned by Debbie Taylor, and "CH. Marsan Benjamin" owned by Ann Blair.
In the early 90's Maureen discovered "Agility". Maureen started out as a "competitor", with her first agility poodles, full siblings Garahlee Brigadier General and Garahlee's Ebony Jewel (Averina's Dextar X High Profile Star of Animation). Today, she is a retired "masters" judge with the Agility Association of Canada, as well as the owner/trainer of "Iron Mountain K-9 Agility Center" --- and still loves to compete in the agility ring with her Standard Poodles. It is truly her passion!!!
Today, Maureen and Rob have two lovely Standard Poodles, both show ring champions and both "Masters" agility dogs. They are, Best Puppy in Show winner CH. Taywyn Flarebouyant Kalliste -MADC, and her half sister Best Puppy in Show winner CH. Taywyn Justa Wild Jazzabelle - MADC. Both of these beautiful Standard Poodles are exceptional agility dogs. They have wowed the agility world with their athletic ability and incredible speed and drive. They have elicited high praise from world class agility trainers, from Canada and the United States. Maureen and Rob are very proud of these two individuals.
